CH. Castlemist Morpheus, CD, TT, CGC, TDI

Morpheus was a once-in-a-lifetime boy.

He was the gentlest dog I've known.  He gave his all to his family for almost 11 years, and he is sorely missed.

The pinnacle of his show career was at the 2003 National Specialty, where he won an Award of Merit, a (second lifetime) first runner-up in Tournament and finished his Companion Dog title.  All of these were breeder-owner-handled.  In prior Nationals, he won his puppy sweeps class, Best Junior with my daughter (age 11) and a truly spectacular and memorable Lowest Qualifying Score Award for his first obedience leg.

Show wins are exciting, but the wins don't make the dog.  Morph was simply my boy.  He would do anything for me, including therapy work with traumatized teenaged girls, acting as demo dog for a carting seminar for our local club, several times serving as the model for the breed in breeder seminars, but always, always trusting and loving and gentle and kind.

He lives on through his six sons and daughters, the M & M litter.

RIP my dear friend, and thank you so much for everything.
